Lighting Jellyfish
Needles : 7 mm double pointed needles or magic loop
Gauge : 10 st - 10 cm
Yarn and yardage:
The jellyfish can be made in many different yarns and there are endless possibilities to play with textures, colours and the amount of lightning through the yarn. Here are four different examples of yarn types:
1: 2 strands of Bella by Permin or Wool Mohair by Lana Gatto and a strand of Salsa by Lammy. 50 grams of each.
2: 2 strands of chunky / fat mohair. 100 gr.
3: 1 strand of Bella by Permin or Wool mohair by Lana Gatto and 1 strand of Creative Bubble by Rico. 50 grams of each.
4: 2 strands of Bella by Permin or Wool Mohair by Lana Gatto and 1 strand of Multi Popkorn by Dale. 50 grams of each.
Light dome.
Small LED light chain for 2 AA batteries.
Approx. 1 m cotton thread and cord locks.
Transparent wire for mounting.
The Lightning Jellyfish is worked bottom up in a dome. Afterwards the bottom is assembled with a cotton strand and cord locks. At last, the tentacles are mounted, and the jellyfish is hung up in a transparent wire.
